William E. Darling Jr.: A multi-talented person who excels in news, sports and employment possibilities

William E. Darling Jr. died on September 15, 2023 at St. Vincent in Youngsville, Pa., with his household by his side. He was 84 years old. William was born on February 20, 1939 in Youngsville, PA to William and Myrtle Darling. Right after graduating from Youngsville Higher College in 1957, he served in the United States Army. William then started functioning at National Forge as an electrician and ultimately became a basic foreman, retiring in 1999 immediately after 35 years. He was a member of a variety of organizations, such as Youngsville American Legion Post 658, AMVETS Post 50 and Brokenstraw Fish & Game Club. William enjoyed outside activities such as hunting and four-wheeling. He was also an avid trap shooter and golfer, participating in the Youngsville Senior Golf League. Spending time with his grandchildren brought him good joy.

William is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia Darling, and their youngsters Jeffrey Darling, Susan Soliday and Patrick Darling. He is also survived by his brother Donald Darling and grandchildren Nathan Carr, Abby Carr, Gwendolyn Darling and Olivia Darling. William was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Eleanor Satterlee, Myrna Haight, Ronald Darling, Carolyn Hallberg and Wayne Darling.

Solutions will be held privately for the household. Memorial donations may possibly be created to the Youngsville Eagles Sports Boosters or a charity of selection.
