The 77th World Health Assembly in Geneva will bring together experts to address challenges impeding access to diagnostics in low- and middle-income countries. These challenges include fragmented supply chains and market barriers, which make it difficult for accurate and rapid diagnostic tests to be used effectively. As threats such as HIV, tuberculosis, and antimicrobial resistance persist, the use of these tests is essential for effective treatment and care.
Diagnostic Network Optimization (DNO) is a process used by many countries to identify gaps and inefficiencies in healthcare delivery. However, a large part of the data collected during the DNO process is not fully used, which makes it difficult to improve the efficiency of the health care system and the fight against diseases. To unlock insights into bottom-up processes that can improve pathogen detection, strengthen global health systems, achieve universal health coverage, and combat antimicrobial resistance medicines, Foreign Policy and Cepheid are hosting an event on May 30th.
The event will take place from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM CET on May 30th, 2024. Join the conversation to explore solutions that can improve diagnostics and advance global health initiatives.
