MyKaice Parker was tragically killed during an argument at a business in Tuskegee by Maurice Demond Davis, who has been convicted of murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm. The Macon County jury deliberated for just 53 minutes before reaching their verdict, finding Davis guilty of the crime.

Davis’ prior criminal record has led prosecutors to seek to sentence him as a habitual offender. He is scheduled to be sentenced on May 9.
