Ferraro’s Ristorante owner Gino Ferraro said that the goal of the petition is to raise awareness among Las Vegas leaders about the negative economic impact and inconvenience that the Grand Prix brings to the city.

The businesses behind the petition claim they have lost more than $30 million in profits due to the months of Formula 1 construction leading up to the inaugural Grand Prix and the Flamingo vehicular bridge over Koval Lane. They believe that construction drove away buyers and are concerned about a potential repeat of this scenario. That’s why Ferraro and other business owners are rallying to collect signatures and support against Formula 1 to pressure Clark County to deny the special use permit needed for the race.
