The Jets have made some changes to their sports performance and sports science staff for the upcoming 2024 season. According to Rich Cimini of ESPN.com, director of high performance Brad DeVeese is no longer with the organization, along with assistant director of high performance Robert Sausaman and director of sports science Matt Sams who were hired under Saleh in 2021.

Despite these departures, the team has appointed Alexander Karnal as sports science coordinator. However, no new additions were made on the performance side. Cimini reports that the departures were not performance-based, but Douglas has seen significant injuries to the team’s offensive line over the past two seasons.

To address this issue, the team acquired veteran tackles Tyron Smith and Morgan Moses in hopes of improving the line’s performance. Keeping these players healthy will be key to the team’s success in the upcoming 2024 season.
