The Denver Broncos have announced that quarterback Bo Nix will keep his number from his college and high school days when he wears No. 10 in the NFL. The number holds significance for Nix, and he will continue to wear it for the Broncos.
As a result of Nix taking over the No. 10 jersey, the rest of the quarterbacks on the Broncos’ roster had to switch numbers. Zach Wilson, who was originally assigned the No. 10 jersey when he was traded to the Broncos from the Jets, has agreed to trade it in for the Knicks. Wilson will now wear the number 4, previously worn by Jarrett Stidham in Denver. Stidham will now wear number 8 for the season.
In addition to Knicks and Wilson’s new numbers, the Broncos also released jersey numbers for their other draft picks. OLB Jonah Elliss will wear #52, VR Troy Franklin will wear #16, CB Chris Abrams-Draine will wear #31, RB Audrik Estim will wear #37, VR Devaughn Vele will wear #81 and G Nick Gargiulo will wear #66 .Each player’s number has personal significance as they look forward to representing the Broncos on the field.
