Denver Nuggets superfan Vicki Ray, who was banned from Ball Arena games, has filed a lawsuit against Kroenke Sports and Entertainment. Ray is one of the most recognizable Nuggets fans and has been a season ticket holder for 32 years. She has had the same seats for 25 years along the track rail that the Nuggets use to play arena court.
In documents filed with the court, Ray claims that her conduct has always been in accordance with the NBA’s Fan Code of Conduct. She believes her ban is a deliberate attempt to resell her season tickets at a higher price due to the increasing demand for Denver Nuggets tickets. The ban also means giving up four seats Ray bought for $20,000.
Ray’s lawsuit alleges breach of contract, breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, violation of the Colorado Consumer Protection Act and intentional or reckless infliction of emotional distress. The case was filed in Denver District Court.
