Revolutionizing Battery Recycling: Call2Recycle Canada and EDI Partner to Implement cutting-edge Sorting Technology

In a significant move towards advancing sustainable battery recycling practices, Call2Recicle Canada has teamed up with Electronic Distributors International Inc (EDI) to implement a new battery sorting technology. This investment is in line with the company’s goal of improving battery recycling infrastructure and diversion initiatives in the region.

Located at EDI’s facility in Orillia, Ontario, this state-of-the-art battery sorting equipment is one of only four in the world and will significantly increase Ontario’s end-of-life battery sorting and recycling capacity. With this new technology, EDI’s plant will double its ability to efficiently sort used batteries.
