The Racine Area Manufacturers and Commerce (RAMAC) annually recognizes the excellence and achievements of its member organizations and individuals for their role in business improvement, growth, innovation, and community support. As a journalist, I feel that it is important to highlight those who drive Racine’s economy by providing goods or services, creating jobs or investing in the community.
The annual RAMAC Business Awards dinner and celebration took place on April 25 at Roma Lodge with the theme “Building our future together.” This theme symbolizes problem-solving and collaboration in order to have a significant impact on Racine’s business community. Racine businesses came together to celebrate shared purpose, vision, and partnerships. This year, RAMAC partnered with the Racine Unified School District to introduce the new Racine Academy Awards.
The 2024 Business Award winners included categories as diverse as the Apollo New and Innovative Business Award, the Judi Moungei Youth Apprenticeship Award, Nonprofit of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Manufacturer of the Year, Business Person of the Year and several awards from the Racine Academy.
