The Saints have secured the contracts of five more of their draft picks, including fifth-round quarterback Spencer Rutler. Rutler, the 150th overall pick, played three seasons at Oklahoma and two at South Carolina. During his career, he completed 68.5 percent of his passes for 10,807 yards with 77 touchdowns and 32 interceptions while also rushing for 16 scores. He will now be part of a quarterback lineup that includes Derek Carr and Jake Haener.

The team also announced Thursday night that it has signed fifth-round receiver Bubba Means, fifth-round linebacker Jaylan Ford, sixth-round defensive tackle Christian Boyd and seventh-round offensive tackle Josiah Eziri. With the signing of these players, the Saints have now signed all but one of their draft picks: second-round cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry remains unsigned.

In addition to these signings, the Saints also signed first-round tackle Taliese Fuaga earlier in the day. Fuaga was the 33rd overall pick and played four seasons at Washington State before declaring for the NFL draft. He is expected to be a key part of the team’s offensive line this season. With only McKinstry left to sign, the Saints are one step closer to completing their roster for the upcoming season.
