Samsung has announced the expansion of the functions of its artificial intelligence assistant, Galaxy AI, for several of its smartphone models. The update, which includes the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Tab S9 series, will be available from March 28 along with the One UI 6.1 software update.
Galaxy AI was launched in January 2024 and improves everyday tasks with artificial intelligence technology. With this update, users will have access to new features aimed at simplifying and improving their mobile experience.
Among the new features included in the update are simultaneous call translation, an interpreter feature for real-time translations in 13 languages, writing assistants and wizards, and photo editing tools for easier image manipulation. Users will also benefit from search improvements with Circle for Google Search, as well as a transcription assistant for converting audio to text.
Samsung’s Senior Vice President of Mobile Experience for Latin America, Antonio Quintas, expressed that Galaxy AI ushers in a new era of mobile artificial intelligence. “This update aims to democratize access to AI features for a wider audience,” he said. “By empowering users with innovative tools and capabilities, we hope to enable them to explore the endless possibilities of this technology.”
