Crawfordsville High School science teacher Shannon Sullivan Hudson was recently recognized by the National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) for her outstanding achievements in science education. The NSTA Awards Program honors K-12 teachers, principals, professors and other science education professionals for their contributions to the field.
The awards were presented during a special Teacher Awards evening event at the NSTA National Science Education Conference in Denver, Colorado on March 22. NSTA President Julie A. Luft expressed her excitement at recognizing outstanding science educators and an outstanding student.
Luft said she finds the group of honorees inspiring because they are dedicated learners, leaders and innovators committed to ensuring a diverse, talented and educated citizenry and workforce for the 21st century. With these awardees, the future of science education looks promising and secure.
