The Safford Spotlight on Small Business event is fast approaching and there are only a few spots left to reserve. Scheduled for Monday, April 1 at the Manor 415 Convention Center, this event provides small business owners with an opportunity to engage with city officials and discuss how the city can better support their success.
The event will feature Safford Mayor Richard Ortega, City Manager John Casella and other city staff, giving attendees the chance to share what’s working well and what improvements could be made. They will also learn about business licensing requirements, the role of the city’s Department of Planning and Community Development and new reporting requirements for the IRS Financial Crimes Network.
Even seasoned small business owners can benefit from this event, as Mayor Ortega emphasized the opportunity to learn something new. The event will begin with a continental breakfast and networking at 7 a.m., followed by a 90-minute program at 7:30 a.m.
Attendance is free, but places must be reserved online through Eventbrite. The event is sponsored by the City of Safford, the Graham County Chamber of Commerce, the Small Business Development Center at Eastern Arizona College and the Safford Downtown Association.
