In a day to remember, Taylor Pendrith secured his first PGA Tour win at the Byron Nelson CJ Cup. Ben Kohles and Alex Noren also had strong finishes, finishing second and third at TPC Craig Ranch. Pendrith’s win means he will have the opportunity to compete in the final three signature events of the season, including the Wells Fargo Championship, the Memorial Tournament and the Travelers Championship.
Meanwhile, Chad Ramey finished just outside the top five in the Swing 5 rankings. The Aon Next 10 group, which includes the current top 10 players in FedExCup points who did not finish in the top 50 last season, saw minimal changes from the RBC Heritage event. Shane Lowry moved into the top 10 of the next 10 rankings after winning Zurich with Rory McIlroy. Other players who joined him include Ludwig Oberg, Matthias Pavone, Stefan Jaeger, Will Zalatoris, Akshay Bhatia, Jake Knapp and Justin Thomas. Christian Bezuidenhout and Austin Austin also made it to this list. These players have qualified for upcoming tournaments based on their combined points from three different events: Corales Puntacana Championship, Zurich Classic and Nelson.
