On May 11, 2024 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., there will be a temporary road closure on Charles Katz Drive due to crane work needed to lift an air conditioner to the top of the Brain Health Center. The affected section of the road will be from the Floyd Curl intersection to the approach of Garage G.
During this closure, Garage G and the employee rooms of the Medical Arts and Research Center (MARC) and the Center for Oral Healthcare and Research (COHCR) will remain accessible via Ewing Halsell Drive on the side of Charles Katz Drive. Access to these areas can also be made through patient garage entrances for MARC and COHCR from Floyd Curl.
Charles Katz Drive itself can be accessed from the roundabout at Ewing Halsell Drive and Sid Katz Drive during this closure period. If any work is not completed by 5 pm on May 11, then the closure will be extended until May 12 at 5 pm.
