The Black Community’s Battle Against Cancer: The Phoenix Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is Taking Action through the Black Wellness Family Expo

In the United States, the American Cancer Society has reported that the black community has the highest death rates and shortest survival rates for most types of cancer. The Phoenix Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is taking action to change this by hosting the Black Wellness Family Expo. This event aims to educate people about their diagnosis and promote awareness of various health conditions, including breast and prostate cancer, kidney disease, and heart health. Free health screenings, mammograms, and car seat safety checks will be available at the event, along with access to health information and services. The expo will take place at South Mountain Community College near 24th Street and Baseline Road and will also feature a free lunch for attendees. To register for the event, visit blackfamilylevelnessekpo.org.
