New Partnership Between Ministry of Education and Science in Ukraine and Palantir: Promoting Safe Access to Schools for 300,000 More Students

The Ministry of Education and Science in Ukraine is partnering with Palantir to introduce new technology aimed at providing secure access to schools for 300,000 more students. An agreement was signed between the two parties to bring about significant improvements in the field of education and ensure that as many children as possible can safely attend school.

The agreement, initially set for 12 months, will support the government’s Schools Offline initiative, which aims to increase the number of Ukrainian students attending school. The partnership will be focused on developing a new software tool that targets funding for school bomb shelters where they will have the greatest impact on the safety of children and youth.

This move comes in response to the rise of online education in Ukraine following Russia’s illegal invasion. Research shows that more than 40% of children in Ukraine now rely on online or hybrid learning, leading to a backlog in education. According to the PISA-2022 survey, Ukrainian students lag behind the required level of study by 1.5 to 2.5 years.

The partnership between the Ministry of Education and Science and Palantir aims to address these challenges and ensure that more children have access to safe learning in their personal lives. Using new technology, the goal is to improve the education system in Ukraine and help students make up for lost learning due to the ongoing conflict. The ultimate goal is to create a better future for the next generation of Ukrainian students.
