Hayley Batten and Victor Korecki won the women’s and men’s short track races at the second round of the UCI MTB World Cup in Araxa, Brazil. In a close battle for first place, Batten took a solo finish to win the women’s race, crossing the line four seconds ahead of Linda Indergand and six seconds ahead of the third-place sprint between Savilia Blunck and Alessandra Keller. Meanwhile, Korecki won the men’s race with a three-second advantage over Christopher Blevins and an additional second over Alan Hatherly.

The competition in Brazil showcased the talent and skill of drivers from around the world, with Korecki and Batten emerging victorious in their respective races. The men’s race was particularly close, with several riders vying for first place until it was ultimately decided by just a few seconds. The women’s race saw a solo finish from Batten, who maintained her lead throughout the event to take home first place.

Race results are provided by FirstCicling, which has been following the UCI MTB World Cup series closely this year.
