Universal Orlando Resort Brings “How to Train Your Dragon” to Life with New Berk Island Theme Park Land

Universal Orlando Resort is excited to announce the opening of its latest addition, Berk Island, in 2025. This theme world, based on the popular series “How to Train Your Dragon,” is one of five lands in the Universal Epic Universe theme park and promises an immersive experience like never before.

Berk Island transports guests to a rugged and rocky world where Vikings and dragons coexist in harmony. Visitors can look forward to new rides such as Hiccup’s Wing Gliders, a family thrill ride that will give riders a bird’s-eye view of the park as they soar alongside Hiccup and Toothless. They can also meet the characters during meet and greets and enjoy The Untrainable Dragon live show, where they will see Pike and his friends work together to solve the mystery while being entertained by musical numbers and life-sized dragons.

In addition, themed restaurants such as Mead Hall, Spit Fire Grill and Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel will offer delicious meals for hungry adventurers. Visitors can also expect to encounter other countries within the Epic Universe such as Celestial Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministers of Magic, Super Nintendo World and Dark Universe.

Universal promises to reveal more details about Berk Island and other countries within the Epic Universe in the coming months. With these exciting additions, guests can look forward to a truly epic experience at Universal Orlando Resort.
