Empower Solano will host a ceremony Wednesday to honor compact organizations that have effectively turned about and continued to safely serve the neighborhood for the duration of the pandemic, such as Bay Hauling of Vallejo and its owner, Juan Vallejos.
5 organizations will be highlighted at the occasion, and their owners will get certificates of recognition from the offices of US Congressman John Garamendi, California State Senator Bill Dodd and California Assemblywoman Lori D. Wilson.
Director of the California Workplace of Modest Enterprise Advocates, Tara Lynn Gray, will be the keynote speaker.
“We want to honor the compact organizations that have carried out an exceptional job maintaining their doors open and serving the public in unprecedented situations more than the previous 3 years,” mentioned K. Patrice Williams, CEO of Empower Solana and Fairfield City Council member. “The occasion will also be a fantastic chance for everyone in small business or seeking to start out a small business to network and obtain useful insights into the sources out there to them at the county and state level.” Williams will serve as mistress of ceremonies at the celebration.
In addition to Bay Hauling from Vallejo, the following have been honored at the ceremony: Journey Coffee from Fairfield and Vacaville and enterprise owners Morne and Nicole Van Staden Two60 Kitchen and Bar of Fairfield and owner Molly Tau Marina Lounge in Suisun City and owner Elease Cheek and Tomorrow’s Home Supportive Living, situated in Fairfield and owned by Duke and Gabrielle Phillippe-Augusta.
The occasion — which will be held Wednesday starting at ten a.m. at the Solano-Napa Modest Enterprise Improvement Center, 500 Chadbourne Road, Fairfield. The public is invited and small business owners, entrepreneurs or everyone attempting to start out a small business are invited to attend. Entrance is no cost.
Tim Murrill, executive director of the Solano-Napa Modest Enterprise Improvement Center, will also speak for the duration of the festivities. City officials from the complete county and representatives of neighborhood chambers of commerce have been invited. Refreshments will be served.
