Byron Murphy II, the newest addition to the Seattle Seahawks roster, shared his excitement and gratitude with Brock and Salk on Seattle Sports 710AM the morning after being drafted. He was surprised to be picked 16th overall, but he feels blessed and living his dream.

Murphy originally hails from DeSoto, Texas, where he grew up in a soccer culture that has produced top talent. He talked about his high school and college experiences, revealing that he graduated in just three years with the help of taking college classes from his freshman year of high school.

When asked about fitting into the Seahawks’ scheme, Murphy expressed his enthusiasm for playing in Seattle. He believes it’s the perfect fit for him and is excited to work with the D-line coach who sees him as a natural three-tech player.
