World Central Kitchen, a non-governmental organization, has announced that it will continue its humanitarian operations in the Gaza Strip after the Israeli bombing that killed seven of its employees and associates on April 1. The NGO’s head, Erin Gore, stated that they will restart their operations with the same energy and commitment to feed as many people as possible.

Although Israel has apologized for the attack, World Central Kitchen still has no guarantee that the Israeli military has changed its operational rules. They continue to demand an impartial and international investigation into the incident. Despite the risks and challenges faced by aid workers in Gaza, the NGO has decided to continue its mission to deliver much-needed food to people in the region.

The 276 trucks of World Central Kitchen are ready to deliver nearly eight million meals to Gaza through various entry points. They are also exploring new food delivery routes such as sea corridors or Israeli port of Ashdod. The NGO workers who died in the Israeli bombing were of various nationalities, underscoring the international nature of their humanitarian efforts.

Israel claims that NGO workers were mistaken for armed Hamas militants leading to tragic attack two Israeli forces officers were fired over this incident. However, despite these challenges and risks, World Central Kitchen remains committed to its mission of providing food aid to those in need in Gaza.
