He expressed his gratitude to everyone who sent him good wishes and support during his recovery from health problems. In a post on his Instagram page, Dawson shared a photo of the many cards and flowers he received.

Despite the surgery, Wayne remains optimistic and appreciates the love and support he has received from his community. He assured his followers that he will share more details about his health issues when he returns to Fox 8. Dawson thanked everyone for their love and support, expressing his excitement to be back on the air soon.

Wayne’s impressive career in journalism began with an internship at Cleveland’s Channel 5 News while still in high school. He later studied broadcasting at Kent State University before joining Fox 8 as an anchor in 2010. Throughout his career, Wayne has been known for his commitment to uncovering important stories that impact the lives of Northeast Ohioans.
