The terrorist group Isis claimed responsibility for the attack, releasing videos of the incident through its channels. Russian authorities found weapons and ammunition at the concert venue and in the suspects’ getaway vehicle. President Vladimir Putin said all the attackers had been arrested and claimed they were trying to flee to Ukraine, saying they were linked to that country. However, Ukraine and the United States have denied any involvement in the attack, and US intelligence has attributed it solely to ISIS.
