The Hyundai IONIK 5 N was also named the 2024 World Performance Car, highlighting the Group’s continued success in electric vehicles and advanced technology.

The Kia EV9 stood out at this year’s World Car Awards for its innovative design, spacious seven-seat interior and competitive price. Built on the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) architecture, it is the first Kia model to feature fourth-generation battery technology, enhancing its performance. These awards further strengthen Hyundai Motor Group’s position as a leader in the electric vehicle market and represent the technological advancement of its electric vehicle platform.

Hyundai Motor Group has had a long history of success at the World Car Awards, with previous wins including triple titles for IONIK 5 and IONIK 6 in 2022 and 2023 for World Car of the Year, World Electric Vehicle and World Car Design of the Year. In 2023, Kia EV6 GT was recognized as a World Performance Car, while Kia Telluride won overall title of World Car of the Year in 2020 and Kia Soul EV won World Urban Car category.
