The Las Vegas Science and Technology Festival is currently underway in Southern Nevada, from April 26th to May 4th. With over 40 events planned, attendees can take part in activities such as exploring Mandalay Bay’s shark reef, going behind the scenes at the Bellagio Fountains, and interacting with the director of NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center. In addition, a community art workshop will be held at Omega Mart in AREA15.
The goal of this festival is to bring science out of the classroom and into the real world to inspire the next generation of innovators in the community. Businesses are encouraged to participate by offering resources, activities and opportunities for young people to learn more about their organization, careers and the science and technology they use.
The festival will conclude with a science and technology fair at the World Market Center on May 4th where a $1,000 prize will be awarded to the CCSD school with the largest number of students and families.
