We are pleased to announce our new project, the Self-Care Acceleration Project (S-CAP), to accelerate the achievement of universal overall health coverage by advertising the use and scale-up of self-care interventions in Nigeria.

In Nigeria, there is restricted access to overall health solutions by way of the traditional overall health technique due to numerous barriers. These obstacles have produced an growing demand for revolutionary techniques that will strengthen major overall health care and contribute to universal overall health coverage. Self-care interventions help overall health systems by giving promising approaches to boost coverage and access, lessen overall health disparities, boost high quality of solutions, strengthen overall health, human rights and social outcomes, and lessen expenses and additional effectively use overall health care sources.

Nigeria is the 1st nation in Africa to create National Self-Protection Recommendations for Sexual, Reproductive and Maternal Overall health, drawing on WHO suggestions on self-assistance interventions for overall health and properly-becoming. S-CAP will help FMOH to accelerate this national self-assistance agenda in Nigeria, to establish complete-scale self-assistance systems.
