The 40th annual Business Expo hosted by Abilene’s Chamber of Commerce drew a large crowd of local businesses looking to showcase their wares and network. The exhibit hall and conference center were transformed into a cosmic wonderland, with UFO and alien decor, rocket ships and astronauts scattered throughout.
Presenting sponsors Optimum, Affordacare Urgent Care, and Fat Matt Roofing made a statement with their giant stacks of promotional items, including candies, fly swatters, chip clips and key chains. Visitors eagerly collected these gifts, along with brochures and business cards in every color of the rainbow. The abundance of swag was a highlight for many in attendance.
Over 160 exhibitors and 180 booths filled the packed event space, creating a bustling atmosphere as business owners, employees and potential customers wandered the halls. Conversations started, connections were made, and old friendships were rekindled in a sea of hype and promotional materials.
With more than 3,500 guests in attendance, including exhibitors and Business After Hours guests, the fair provided ample networking opportunities. Attendees left the event with more than just freebies; they also gained valuable insights into Abilene’s thriving business landscape.
