The town of Kyle, Texas is on a mission to break a Guinness World Record. On May 18th at the Kyle Fair, the town is hosting an event to gather as many people named Kyle as possible within its city limits. This record attempt is open to anyone with the name Kyle spelled that way and proof of the name “Kyle” is required to enter.

Variations of the name, such as Keeler, Kial or Kilee, will not be accepted. Middle names, surnames and nicknames are also not eligible for participation. City officials hope to surpass the current record in Bosnia, where 2,325 individuals named Ivan gathered in 2017. Last year’s Kyle Gathering event in Kyle, Texas drew 1,490 participants from across the country.

The Kyle Fair A Tech-Travaganza will be held May 17-19 at Lake Kyle Park and features live music, food trucks, margarita judging, ribs and other activities. Entry to the fair is free for all participants.
