Grace Properties LLC, owned by David and Amanda Trahan, is planning to open a new location for their Lake Charles-based daiquiri chain in Youngsville. The company purchased 6.2 acres of land near Sugar Mill Pond for more than $2.8 million from Young’s Industries, according to land records.

The Trahans plan to divide the land into five lots, with their business located on the south end of the property. The remaining plots will be sold to other companies. Construction is expected to begin in the fall.

David Trahan explained that the new location in Youngsville is better suited to their business than their previous one in Milton Road near the 2022 Metairie Center Mall. Although they originally planned not to sell, an attractive offer made them change their minds.

The Trahans have also sold 1.6 acres of land in Baton Rouge to a development group for $800,000, according to land records. Their ultimate goal is to expand into the Lafayette area with five or six locations and Baton Rouge as well. Paradise Grill & Daiquiris currently has locations in Lake Charles, Moss Bluff and Sulphur, with a second location in Lake Charles set to open on May 1st .
