Aaron Judge is a major league baseball player who has been with the New York Yankees for nine seasons. Recently, during a game against the Detroit Tigers, he experienced a career first: being ejected from the game. It all happened in the seventh inning when Judge took a fastball from pitcher Tyler Holton on a 3-2 count that he believed was out of the strike zone.

After showing his disagreement with the call, umpire Ryan Blakeney returned to the dugout and was subsequently ejected by Blackney. However, despite being ejected, Judge had an impressive performance during the game, finishing with a 2-for-4 record and an RBI. The Yankees ended up winning 5-3. This made Judge the first Yankee captain to be ejected since Don Mattingly in 1994.

After the game, Blakeney expressed surprise at being sent off and noted that he had said worse things before without being sent off. He also acknowledged the tough job that referees have and maintained his respect for Blakeney. Additionally, graphic coordinator Seth Rothman pointed out that Blackney consistently called pitches out of the zone as strikes throughout the game.
