Emplifi Health is now the official name of Bellin Health and Gundersen Health System, which merged in December 2022. The new name reflects their shared commitment to increasing access, creating a culture of empathy and improving population health outcomes.

Scott Rathgaber, CEO of both systems, explained that Emplifi is a combination of “empathy” and “empowerment,” representing a commitment to understanding and increasing the well-being of their patients and communities. The rebranding process will take place over the next few months, with all hospitals and clinics changing their name to Emplifi Health.

Entities such as the Gundersen Medical Foundation and The Bellin Health Foundation will retain their names and will not be affected by the merger at this time. Funds received from each foundation will continue to be used for the purposes designated by the donors.

Emplifi Health patients can expect to receive care from the same providers and staff in the same locations they are familiar with. Rathgaber noted that the transition to Emplifi Health is expected to take several years.
